1. Are your products “authorized” by Pitney Bowes?
Our products are approved by the US Postal Service for use in Pitney Bowes meters. No authorization by Pitney Bowes is required. The ink and characteristics of printed indicia (the stamp) is specified by the US Postal Service and our products conform to these specifications.

2. Can I replace a Pitney Bowes cartridge directly with your product?
Yes. There are no “changeover” issues when going between the brands.

3. Will using these products void my warranty?
No. Your postage meter warranty is protected under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1975. This act prohibits manufacturers from voiding a product warranty due to the use of third party supplies (specifically under the tie-in sales provision of the Act) unless the Manufacturer provides supplies at NO CHARGE to the consumer. Further, Pitney Bowes sells a broad range of replacement cartridges for HP, Canon, and other brands of printers. Their products enjoy the same Federal protection relative to your warranty. It would be a contradiction if Pitney Bowes did not apply the same protection to alternative supplies for their postage meters.

4. Will your products perform like the OEM?
Yes. All of our products are manufactured to provide equivalent yield as compared to the OEM. They are approved for use by the US Postal Service and meet all requirements for printing valid, readable postage. Only the OEM and our brands have been directly tested and approved by the Postal Service.

5. Is there a warranty on your products?
Absolutely. Our products are fully backed by a Performance Guarantee. Further they are supported by a Money Back Guarantee if you are not entirely satisfied.

6. Does this warranty cover any potential damage to my meter?
Absolutely. If it is shown that our product has caused a failure of the meter, the cost of repairs will be refunded. This does not apply to printheads in meters where the printhead is a user replaceable consumable, such as the DM500 or DM1000 series.

MailStation and MailStation 2 | 797-0, 797-M, 797-Q cartridges

8. Do you have the version of the 797 cartridge that works in the mailStation 2? I ordered the wrong cartridge at one time and it was a real hassle!
Absolutely. The NPTK700 cartridge functions in BOTH the original MailStation and the MailStation 2. You will never receive the wrong version of MailStation cartridge with us.

PersonalPost, MailStation and MailStation 2 | 769-0, 797-0, 797-M, 797-Q cartridges

9. I have had some cartridges that did not give me the stated yield. They ran out too fast. Does your cartridge last longer than the Pitney?
All of our cartridges have slightly MORE ink than an OEM to ensure maximum yield is achieved in all usage situations. However, ink usage in these meters are controlled by two factors: One is the number of indicia you print. This is actually the lesser of the two factors, as you could print 3 to 4 times the stated yield with a new cartridge if you simply ran that number of letters through after installation. The main factor in yield for these models is the amount of time a cartridge is in the machine. The meters “autopurge” the printhead on a timed basis, and a typical purge will consume vastly greater quantities of ink than simple indicia printing. So yield is a matter of the number of indicia printed and the time the meter is idle. This creates a yield variance over several cartridges. That is why the OEM states the yield in both number of indicia OR 3 to 4 months.

PostPerfect (B700) | 767-1 ribbon

10. Sometimes my meter says I am out of ink (ribbon) when there is a lot of ribbon on the supply spool. Do your ribbons have the same issue?
This is typically caused by the counter in the meter being out of sync with the supply of ribbon in the cartridge. Both our and Pitney Bowes ribbons have a clear section on the end of the roll, and the meter has a light switch that trips as it shines through this clear section, indicated that the ribbon is exhausted. This switch ensures that all the ribbon has been used. However, the meter also has an internal counter that works in conjunction with this switch. If the counter is “off ”, a premature Ink Out situation occurs. Unplugging the meter for a minute or so should cause a reset of the counter and allow for continued use of the remaining ribbon.

DM500 through DM1100 | 621-1, 766-8 cartridges

11. Will using your brand cartridge affect my Service Contract?
Your On Site Service Contract prohibits the use of supplies other than the OEM. Here’s what Pitney Bowes won’t tell you: Using products other than the OEM will NOT void your Service Contract entirely – only for that specific service call, provided that it is proven that the primary cause of the interruption is our product. Fortunately, our product warranty covers you for any damage caused by our products; therefore, there is no loss. So, in the event another issue arises, completely unrelated to supply use, such as power supply failure, your Service Contract will still be valid. Our warranty does not cover the user replaceable printhead when it is within the stated print life limits. Printheads in the DM500 through DM1100 series meters are classified by the OEM as a consumable, and with or without a Service Contract, Pitney Bowes still requires you to replace it, at your expense, usually on your own.

12. Will the use of a third party consumable, or "Brand X" as Pitney Bowes refers to it, void my Service Agreement?
Let us reassure you, this is not true. This is a simple, but effective, scare tactic Pitney Bowes employs on customers to coerce them into buying Pitney Bowes original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products that cost more than double our prices. Why? Because they can.

What Pitney Bowes fails to mention is that only the service required as a direct result from use of third-party consumables are not covered by your Service Agreement, so your Service Agreement would NOT be voided in its entirety. Our Risk Free Guarantee ensures you are not liable for anything, so in the highly unlikely event you do experience an issue with one of our products, just know that Pitney Bowes will perform any service necessary to keep you productive. Simply send us the resulting invoice (because the use of our product is not covered under your Service Agreement), and we will cover those expenses.

So, if this is an issue of concern for you, please try our product—risk free—and if you're not satisfied, we will be happy to refund your purchase. We're not looking to make a quick buck. We want you to have a safe, reliable, and quality source for your Pitney Bowes supply needs without the Pitney Bowes prices. If Pitney Bowes insists to the contrary of what we're sharing with you here, ask them to put their claim in writing and you'll know we are looking out for your best interest.

Why does your ink print lighter than Pitney Bowes’?
Our ink is slightly lighter than what you may be accustomed to from Pitney Bowes' ink. That's because Pitney Bowes has a patent on their use of that color red, so only they may use it. Our ink is, therefore, noticeably different to prevent any bully tactics from Pitney Bowes' legal team. This bears no impact whatsoever in mailstream distribution, which is based on fluorescence, not color. USPS scanners read our USPS-approved printed indicia the same as Pitney Bowes'.

Don't let this be an issue of concern for you. You'll see that your mail will not be returned to you as undeliverable.

I’m trying to find a cheaper alternative to Pitney Bowes, but I’ve had some bad experiences so far. How can I be SURE you’re any different?
We’re the first to admit we’re not the cheapest alternative to Pitney Bowes. However, we do offer a quality product backed with extensive guarantees that none of our competitors come close in offering to ensure YOUR protection and a hassle-free experience.

If you believe the product we sent you is defective, please allow us to send you a replacement before asking for a refund. There's a reason for this - our defect rate is less than 1% – one of the lowest in the industry.

In the unlikely (but possible) event that you are the unlucky recipient of a defective product, we apologize (in advance) and understand how frustrating it can be. However, instead of writing us off entirely, we'd like to send you a replacement and return label for the defective product so our engineers can investigate the cause for defect and refine our manufacturing process, further reducing our defect rate to give you a better experience.

For undergoing this hassle and being our involuntary guinea pig in the name of product improvement, we'll take care of you some way on your next order as a way of appreciating your loyalty. Simply reference the RMA number we issue you in the comments section of your order.

Our business model is to help you save money, not make enemies.
